There are so many blogs and bloggers out there, selling a dream of self-employed, meal prepping, bullet journalling heaven. And believe me, I’ve often thought how fantastic it would be to pick my own hours, or not have to put up with the office politics and dress code – but then I remember that it’s actually quite nice having a regular income, a bonus each year and a pension, boring though that sounds. So I started looking for blogs that spoke to me: that were witty and fun, understood the challenges a driven woman faces in the workplace, but didn’t take themselves too seriously and certainly didn’t put being self-employed on a pedestal. Suffice to say, it soon became clear that there was a gap in the market for something modern and fresh, but also useful and entertaining for those of us who don’t have the luxury of an insta-perfect life spent leeching Wi-Fi whilst sipping flat whites. Thus, Paper Jam in Tray 3 was born, and the rest is history.
I won’t be telling you to quit your job to become a travel writer or vegan baker (although that’s great, if you fancy it!) but I will be sharing things to make those many years of your life spent in the office a little bit more bearable, whilst having a bit of fun along the way.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do writing it.
